Odin could change his appearance. Then his body lay as if he was asleep or dead, and at that time he was a Raven. He could be transferred to distant countries on his business or on the affairs of other people.
Odin’s ravens, Muninn (Mind or Munr) and Huginn (Spirit or Hugr), are representative of his mind and soul leaving his body as he astral projects himself. Odin’s ravens Huginn and Muninn are actually symbolic to his well known shamanic practices.
